The study outlines the main types of profiling – behavioral, psychological, and demographic – and analyzes their significance in detecting offenses in cyberspace. The research highlights key ethical and legal challenges associated with profiling, including personal data protection, privacy, and the prevention of discrimination. The necessity of regulatory frameworks and transparency in profiling methods used by law enforcement agencies is emphasized. It is concluded that the effectiveness of profiling depends on the combination of technical, analytical, and legal approaches, and its implementation must comply with the principles of legality, proportionality, and respect for human rights.
