У сучасній освіті вона забезпечує інтеграцію теорії і практики, сприяє розвитку самостійності, творчого потенціалу та професійної ідентичності майбутнього фахівця. Основними видами наукової роботи студентів є підготовка рефератів, курсових і кваліфікаційних робіт, участь у конференціях, наукових гуртках, публікація тез і статей. У Донецькому державному університеті внутрішніх справ функціонують наукові об’єднання, які сприяють формуванню дослідницьких навичок, розвитку критичного мислення та розширенню наукового світогляду студентів. Наукове дослідження в психології є систематичним процесом здобуття нових знань і передбачає визначення проблеми, постановку мети й завдань, аналіз літератури, вибір методів, збір та інтерпретацію даних, формулювання висновків. Важливою складовою є методологічна компетентність, що включає розуміння наукових підходів і вміння використовувати кількісні та якісні методи дослідження. Разом із тим студенти стикаються з труднощами: недостатньою підготовкою, браком практичних навичок, обмеженим доступом до ресурсів, низькою мотивацією та психологічними бар’єрами. Їх подолання можливе через методичну підтримку, розвиток дослідницької культури та активну участь у науковій діяльності. Отже, дослідницька діяльність є ключовим чинником формування професійної компетентності психолога, розвитку наукового мислення та готовності до вирішення актуальних завдань практики. Research activities of psychology students are an important component of professional training, which forms analytical thinking, the ability to critically interpret information and apply scientific methods to solve practical problems. In modern education, it ensures the integration of theory and practice, promotes the development of independence, creative potential and professional identity of the future specialist. The main types of scientific work of students are the preparation of abstracts, term papers and qualification papers, participation in conferences, scientific circles, publication of theses and articles. Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs has scientific associations that contribute to the formation of research skills, the development of critical thinking and the expansion of the scientific worldview of students. Scientific research in psychology is a systematic process of acquiring new knowledge and involves defining a problem, setting goals and objectives, analyzing literature, choosing methods, collecting and interpreting data, and formulating conclusions. An important component is methodological competence, which includes an understanding of scientific approaches and the ability to use quantitative and qualitative research methods. At the same time, students face difficulties: insufficient training, lack of practical skills, limited access to resources, low motivation and psychological barriers. Overcoming them is possible through methodological support, development of research culture and active participation in scientific activity. Therefore, research activity is a key factor in the formation of a psychologist's professional competence, the development of scientific thinking and readiness to solve current practical problems.uk-UA
