Pustovoichenko // Revista Eduweb. - 2024. - Vol.18, №1. - P. 152–163.This study aimed to analyse the effectiveness of using the computer tool Kahoot for foreign language learning in higher education, as well as to address the problem of students' lack of motivation in learning English. This study hypothesised that using the Kahoot app in foreign language classes would improve students' motivation through its engaging approach. To test this hypothesis, a survey was conducted among students who had studied English using this tool. The results showed that students who used the Kahoot app in the classroom were significantly more motivated to learn English. This was made possible by the app's ability to vary the learning tool depending on the needs of the students, which encouraged their active participation in the learning process. The effectiveness of Kahoot as a tool in higher education for learning foreign languages is promising. Its engaging and interactive format, instant feedback, and collaborative learning opportunities make it a valuable tool for enhancing language learning. However, it is important for teachers to be aware of its limitations and complement it with other activities to ensure comprehensive language development. Overall, Kahoot can be a valuable addition to the language learning toolkit in higher education. Метою цього дослідження було проаналізувати ефективність використання комп'ютерного інструменту Kahoot для вивчення іноземних мов у вищих навчальних закладах, а також вирішити проблему недостатньої мотивації студентів у вивченні англійської мови. Гіпотеза дослідження полягала в тому, що використання додатку Kahoot на заняттях з іноземної мови підвищить мотивацію студентів завдяки його цікавому підходу. Для перевірки цієї гіпотези було проведено опитування серед студентів, які вивчали англійську мову за допомогою цього інструменту. Результати показали, що студенти, які використовували додаток Kahoot на заняттях, були значно більше вмотивовані до вивчення англійської мови. Це стало можливим завдяки здатності додатку варіювати навчальний інструмент залежно від потреб студентів, що заохочувало їхню активну участь у навчальному процесі. Ефективність Kahoot як інструменту у вищій освіті для вивчення іноземних мов є багатообіцяючою. Захоплюючий та інтерактивний формат, миттєвий зворотній зв'язок та можливості для спільного навчання роблять його цінним інструментом для покращення вивчення мови. Однак викладачам важливо усвідомлювати його обмеження і доповнювати його іншими видами діяльності для забезпечення всебічного мовного розвитку. Загалом, Kahoot може стати цінним доповненням до інструментарію вивчення мов у вищій освіті.en
