Дослідження спрямоване на виявлення випадків, коли комунікативна компетентність іноземної мови має особливе значення для юристів та поліцейських. In the context of globalization, the foreign language communicative competence of lawyers and police officers becomes especially important. Such competence allows for a better understanding of the persons when they do not speak the native language of the lawyer or the police officer. The study aims to identify cases where foreign language communicative competence has a special significance for lawyers and police officers. The research employs analysis, synthesis, generalization, and formal-structural methods. The paper examines a set of norms regulating the use of foreign language communicative competence by lawyers and police officers in civil, criminal, administrative, and economic legal proceedings. The study analyzes the necessity of proficiency in a second, non-native language based on various legislative acts, including the Constitution of Ukraine, the Law of Ukraine "On Security Activities," the Law of Ukraine "On the Judiciary and the Status of Judges," the Law of Ukraine "On the National Police," the Law of Ukraine "On the Bar and Legal Practice," and the Law of Ukraine "On Notariate." Grounded in the core principles of ESP and supported by pedagogical research, this approach bridges the gap between classroom instruction and the communicative realities of professional practice. By leveraging expert insights, institutions can equip cadets not only with language skills but also with the intercultural and professional competencies necessary for success in international and multinational environments. Метою роботи є обґрунтування залучення іноземних фахівців до занять з англійської мови для професійного спрямування курсантів. The Department of Foreign Languages of Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs holds annually All-Ukrainian scientific and practical cadet/student conference in foreign languages. Recently, its topic is «Law enforcement agencies: the defense of public order and constitutional freedoms during peace and martial law». Thematic directions of the conference are as follows: ·- protection of constitutional human rights in the activities of police in the zone of military conflict; ·- international standards of law enforcement activities in peacetime and under martial law; · - prevention of offenses by law enforcement agencies in peacetime and under martial law; · - interaction of law enforcement agencies and the public in the field of public order in peacetime and under martial law; · - topical issues of training law enforcement officers in peacetime and under martial law. Conducting binary classes with a native speaker became a positive experience in the formation of foreign language communicative competence of future law enforcement officers. These types of work stimulated the cadets' activity in class, contributed to the development of foreign language communication skills, and helped to eliminate the psycho- logical barrier during discussions with foreigners. During the binary classes, the cadets learned professional vocabulary better and acquired professional foreign language communication skills. A similar practice should be used in further work with cadets to maintain their constant interest in studying foreign languages. Cadets are highly interested not only in the represented professional context, but especially in the live communication with the representative of other culture. Метою статті є дослідження стимулювання інтересу курсантів до вивчення іноземної мови шляхом проведення бінарних занять з працівниками органів внутрішніх справ та носіями мови. Позитивним досвідом у формуванні іншомовної комунікативної компетентності майбутніх правоохоронців стало проведення бінарних занять з носієм мови. Такі види роботи стимулювали активність курсантів на заняттях, сприяли розвитку навичок іншомовного спілкування, усунули психологічний бар’єр під час спілкування з іноземцями. Під час бінарних занять курсанти краще засвоїли професійну лексику та набули навичок професійного іншомовного спілкування. Подібну практику слід застосовувати і в подальшій роботі з курсантами для підтримки їх постійного інтересу до вивчення іноземних мов. S.Мета статті полягала в здійсненні емпіричного аналізу ефективності мобільних додатків у процесі вивчення іноземних мов у закладах вищої освіти України. Здійснене дослідження ґрунтувалося на виявленні ефективності мобільних додатків за такими параметрами, як лексико-граматична, мовленнєво-фонетична, інтеракційна, країнознавчо-міжкультурна, технічно-інформаційна та перекладацька компетентності. Визначено, що мобільні додатки є найбільш ефективними під час опанування здобувачами вищої освіти лексичних та граматичних норм. Вони допомагають отримати знання, навички та вміння інформаційно-комунікаційного характеру. Водночас спостерігаються дещо нижчі можливості мобільних додатків для розвитку комунікативної та міжкультурної взаємодії. Респонденти вважають, що більше можливостей для цього надає безпосереднє спілкування з носіями мови та особисте знайомство з соціокультурним фундаментом відповідної нації. Кластерний аналіз дозволив згрупувати здобувачів вищої освіти за п’ятьма основними групами. При цьому респонденти, об’єднані першим кластером, вважають, що мобільні додатки є найбільш ефективними для формування лексико-граматичної та технічно-інформаційної компетент-ностей; представники другого кластера позитивно оцінюють значення мобільних додатків для розвитку мовленнєво-фонетичної, технічно-інформаційної та лексико-граматичної компетентностей; здобувачі освіти, об’єднані третім кластером, вказують на ефективність мобільних додатків під час формування інтеракційної та країнознавчо-міжкультурної компетентностей. Респонденти, об’єднані четвертим кластером, схильні до визнання неефективності мобільних додатків для вивчення іноземної мови; натомість представники п’ятого кластера високо оцінюють можливості мобільних додатків за всіма вимірюваними параметрами. Загалом, приблизно чверть здобувачів вищої освіти оцінюють ефективність мобільних додатків як низьку, дві п’ятих – як середню, одна шоста – як вищу за середню, одна п’ята – як високу. The importance and relevance of mobile applications in the life of a modern person is difficult to overestimate. This fully applies to the study of a foreign language, including within the framework of higher education in Ukraine. Thus, the purpose of the article was to conduct an empirical analysis of the effectiveness of mobile applications in the process of learning foreign languages in higher education institutions of Ukraine. The conducted research was based on the identification of the effectiveness of mobile applications according to such parameters as lexical-grammatical, speech-phonetic, interactive, country studies-intercultural, technical-informational and translation competence. According to the obtained results, mobile applications are characterized by the greatest effectiveness in mastering lexical and grammatical norms by students and provide knowledge, skills and abilities of an information and communication nature. At the same time, there are somewhat smaller possibilities of mobile applications for the development of communicative and intercultural interaction. Respondents believe that more opportunities for this are provided by direct communication with native speakers and personal acquaintance with the socio-cultural foundation of the respective nation. Cluster analysis made it possible to group students into five main groups. At the same time, the respondents united by the first cluster believe that mobile applications are the most effective for forming lexical-grammatical and technical-informational competence; representatives of the second cluster positively evaluate the value of mobile applications for the development of speech-phonetic, technical-informational and lexical-grammatical competences; students united by the third cluster note the effectiveness of the formation of interactive and country studies and intercultural competences. Students united by the fourth cluster tend to recognize the ineffectiveness of mobile applications for learning a foreign language; instead, the respondents belonging to the fifth cluster highly evaluate the capabilities of mobile applications in all measured parameters. The article deals with the necessity and peculiarities of implementing a practical component during binary classes on the discipline “Foreign language for professional purposes” with practical police officers and native-speakers of a foreign language, which contributes to the formation of foreign language communicative competence of future police officers. The aim of the article is to determine the didactic and methodical conditions under which the organization and conduct of binary classes in the discipline “Foreign language for professional purposes” will be effective and will contribute to the formation of foreign language communicative competence of future police officers and their readiness to communicate in a foreign language during the performance of official duties. One of the factors stimulating cadets' interest in studying a foreign language is conducting binary classes with employees of law enforcement bodies. Застосовано аналітичний метод для узагальнення наукових підходів і світового досвіду інтеграції цифрових технологій, порівняльний метод – для зіставлення традиційних і сучасних моделей навчання, системний підхід – для виявлення взаємозв’язків між технологічними інструментами та освітніми результатами, а також метод концептуального моделювання – для визначення ефективних методичних рішень. Результати. Встановлено, що впровадження гейміфікації, VR/AR-технологій, адаптивних платформ та інтерактивних середовищ сприяє переходу до практикоорієнтованого навчання, формуванню професійно орієнтованих компетентностей та розвитку критичного мислення. Доведено, що поєднання цифрових технологій із кейс-методом, рольовими симуляціями та міждисциплінарними проєктами підвищує ефективність навчання здобувачів освіти немовних спеціальностей. The purpose of the article is to substantiate the effectiveness of new technologies in the process of teaching a foreign language with a professional orientation and to identify promising areas for their implementation in the modern system of higher education. Methods. An analytical method was used to generalize scientific approaches and world experience in the integration of digital technologies, a comparative method to compare traditional and modern learning models, a systemic approach to identify relationships between technological tools and educational outcomes, and a conceptual modeling method to identify effective methodological solutions. Results. It was found that the implementation of gamification, VR/AR technologies, adaptive platforms and interactive environments contributes to the transition to practice-oriented learning, the formation of professionally oriented competencies and the development of critical thinking. Participating in scientific conferences in foreign languages is one of the forms of realizing the formation of foreign language communicative competence of the applicants. During the preparation of a scientific paper, they define the topic, study foreign sources, conduct a comparative analysis and express their opinion. For many years, the Department of Foreign Languages of Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs has been holding all-Ukrainian scientific and practical conferences in foreign languages on the topic "Law enforcement agencies protecting law and order and constitutional freedoms of citizens." Cadets report and communicate at professionally oriented conferences in a foreign language, demonstrate foreign language speaking skills in a scientific style. The scientific work consists of an introduction, the main part, conclusions, a list of used sources (21 names). The total volume of the scientific work is 46 pages. The purpose of the study is to analyse problematic issues related to the formation of foreign language communicative competence skills of future law enforcement officers and lawyers; actualization of modern scientific knowledge on the outlined subject for the purpose of further use in the educational process. The scientific novelty of the obtained results lies in the fact that the contextual model of professionally oriented language training of future law enforcement officers in higher education institutions was theoretically substantiated and experimentally tested; the combination of traditional and innovative pedagogical technologies is substantiated; the personal inclusion of cadets in the studying process through the use of problem-based, project-based and interactive forms and methods has been updated; the forms, methods and technologies for language training of cadets of Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine have been improved in conditions of peace and under martial law. Результати дослідження розкривають основні напрями наукових розробок з питань формування іншомовної комунікативної компетенції студентів юридичних спеціальностей. З'ясовано пріоритетність розробки, оцінку компонентів та процедуру цього процесу з практичної точки зору. У роботі підкреслюється важливість іншомовної комунікативної компетентності у галузі права та висвітлює проблеми, з якими стикаються студенти під час набуття цих навичок. This paper focuses on the development of foreign language communicative competence of students studying law. The research used different methods to study how students studying law can improve their ability to communicate in a foreign language. There was looked at existing research and did a survey to understand more about how students can improve their language skills. The results of the study reveal the main directions of scientific developments on issues related to the formation of foreign language communicative competence of students of law specialties. The priority of development, assessment of components, and the procedure of this process from a practical point of view have been clarified. The paper emphasizes the importance of foreign language communicative competence in the field of law and highlights the challenges that students face in acquiring these skills.
