dc.description.abstractThe article reveals economic security as a tool for protecting national interests, drawing attention to the fact that economic security acts as a basic platform for protecting the national interests of each country and creates conditions for the realization of planned strategic intentions for future development. It has been proven that as a tool for protecting national interests, it is considered a priority tool for managing economic cycles. Accordingly, economic security can be defined as a holistic category that provides countermeasures to a systemic set of negative factors. Such countermeasures require the application of a complex of institutional, legal, organizational and economic measures. The conclusion was made: economic security acts as a tool capable of establishing a mechanism for protecting the country's national economic interests from internal and external threats and, on this basis, positively influencing the provision of balanced and stable growth of the country's economy, which improves the competitiveness of the national economy as a whole. У статті розкрито економічна безпека як інструмент захисту національних інтересів, звернуто увагу на те, що економічна безпека виступає базовою платформою для захисту національних інтересів кожної країни та створює умови для реалізації намічених стратегічних намірів майбутнього розвитку. Доведено, як інструмент захисту національних інтересів вона вважається пріоритетним інструментом управління економічними циклами. Відповідно економічну безпеку можна визначити як цілісну категорію, що забезпечує протидію системній сукупності негативних факторів. Такі заходи протидії потребують застосування комплексу заходів інституційного, правового, організаційного та економічного характеру. Зроблено висновок: економічна безпека виступає як інструмент, здатний налагодити механізм захисту національних економічних інтересів країни від внутрішніх і зовнішніх загроз і на цій основі позитивно впливати на забезпечення збалансованого та стабільного зростання економіки країни, що покращує конкурентоспроможність національної економіки в цілому.
