Analysis of trends in pedagogy and psychology: implementation of globalization solutions

Метою статті є аналіз глобалізаційних тенденцій з метою пошуку застосовних рішень у сфері психології та педагогіки та реалізації їх як відповідних механізмів вдосконалення наукової та освітньої діяльності. Автори використовували якісні (огляд науково-методичної літератури, науковий опис, інтерв’ювання, цілісний аналіз, опис, узагальнення результатів дослідження і дедукція) і кількісні підходи до дослідження (аналіз статистичних даних і структурний аналіз). Емпіричне дослідження проведено серед 36 наукових і педагогічних працівників закладів освіти України у першому семестрі 2022-2023 н.р. Висновки показали, що загальні тенденції однаково впливають на трансформації, але конкретні тенденції включають закономірності, які характеризують одну з цих наук і, як наслідок, створюють своєрідні підходи. Аналіз відповідей респондентів та кількісних даних засвідчив, що впровадження рішень може призвести до вдосконалення психолого-педагогічної науки та підвищення ефективності освітнього процесу в українських закладах. The purpose of the article is to analyze the globalization trends in order to find the applicable solutions in the field of psychology and pedagogy and to implement them as appropriate mechanisms for improvement of scientific and educational activities. The authors used qualitative (review of scientific and methodical literature, scientific description, interviewing, holistic analysis, description, synthesis of research results and deduction) and quantitative approaches to research (analysis of statistical data and structural analysis). The empirical research was conducted among 36 scientific and educational professionals in Ukrainian educational institutions in the first semester of 2022-2023 academic year. The findings showed that the general trends influence the transformations equally but specific trends include patterns that characterize one of these sciences and consequently create peculiar approaches. The analysis of respondents’ answers and the quantitative data proved that implementation of solutions may lead to the enhancement of psychological and pedagogical science and improve the efficiency of educational process within the Ukrainian institutions.

The system of interaction between participants of the educational process is considered. The contents of educational technologies are analyzed. Educational technologies are compared to non-technologies, and the criteria of technological approach have been grounded. Different ways of classification of educational technologies are represented.

Formal law enforcement training vs STEAM education

The significance that policemen attribute to interactions of formal training and STEAM education is highly important. This significance evolves into perceptions whose outcome is the employees’ behaviour. All in all, police training system and STEAM education system emphasizes the importance that should be attributed to the existence of a personal purpose of policemen regarding their role and to an examination of the impact of the personal purpose on employees’ performance. Naturally, policemen should be enabled to realize their personal purpose in addition to the realization of the formal purpose; inability to simultaneously satisfy both purposes will charge a toll on well-being at work in the form of frustration. In such a case, daily reality of the performance should be examined and sensed, and decisions should be made, according to the emphases that should be placed. Thus, sometimes, it is the needs of the policemen that stem from the formal purpose of the training and teaching interactions that should be satisfied, and other times, it is those that relate to the personal purpose. Важливість, яку поліцейські надають взаємодії формального навчання та освіти STEAM, є безперечною. Ця значущість перетворюється на сприйняття, результатом якого є поведінка співробітників. Загалом, система підготовки поліцейських і освітня система STEAM підкреслюють важливість, яку слід надавати наявності особистої мети поліцейських щодо їхньої ролі та дослідженню впливу особистої мети на діяльність співробітників. Зрозуміло, поліцейським, крім реалізації формальної мети, має бути надана можливість реалізувати свою особисту мету; нездатність одночасно задовольнити обидві мети позначиться на роботі у вигляді розчарування. У такому випадку слід досліджувати й відчувати повсякденну реальність діяльності та приймати рішення відповідно до акцентів, які слід розставити. Таким чином, інколи потрібно задовольнити потреби поліцейських, які випливають із формальної мети навчальної взаємодії, а інколи – ті, що стосуються особистої мети.

Автори вважають, що необхідно змінити підходи до навчання і створити більш інтерактивне та стимулююче середовище. Intercultural dimension of internationalisation of higher education and intercultural learning in formal and non-formal education: the experts’ views from Italy and Ukraine

Стаття має на меті сприяти глибшому розумінню міжкультурного виміру інтернаціоналізації вищої освіти та міжкультурного навчання через сприйняття освітянами, політиками, представниками громадянського суспільства в Італії та Україні. Автори спробували дослідити, чи спричинила інтернаціоналізація зсув у бік якісних цілей навчання, змушуючи університети зосередитися на міжкультурному навчанні в рамках процесу інтернаціоналізації. Зростаюча присутність дебатів з міжкультурних питань поставила перед освітянами низку виклики щодо підготовки міжкультурно компетентних випускників. Методологія дослідження складалася з напівструктурованих інтерв'ю з обраними експертами в обох країнах. Результати показують, що міжкультурний вимір інтернаціоналізації може належним чином переплітатися з цілями вищої освіти, однак аналіз показав, що якісні результати процесу інтернаціоналізації на національному та інституційному рівнях в обох країнах є досить недооціненими. Дослідження підкреслює критичну важливість інтеграції міжкультурних аспектів в інтернаціоналізацію вищої освіти, розкриваючи різні підходи в Італії та Україні, закликаючи до співпраці між академічними колами та громадянським суспільством для посилення міжкультурних зв'язків та громадянським суспільством для підвищення міжкультурної обізнаності та компетентності, а також підкреслює позитивний потенціал для трансформаційної еволюції в майбутньому. This article seeks to contribute to a deeper understanding of intercultural dimension of internationalization of higher education and intercultural learning through perception of educators, policy-makers, representatives of civil society sector in Italy and Ukraine. The authors have attempted to study if internationalisation has operated a shift towards qualitative learning objectives, making universities to focus on intercultural learning within the internationalization process. For educators the growing presence of debates on intercultural issues has posited a series of challenges on preparing interculturally competent graduates. Methodology used consisted semistructured interviews of the selected experts in both countries. Findings indicate that intercultural dimension of internationalisation can intwine appropriately with the goals of higher education however analysis showed that qualitative outcomes of internationalization process are rather underestimated at national and institutional levels in both countries. The study underscores the critical importance of integrating intercultural dimensions into the internationalisation of higher education, revealing distinct approaches in Italy and Ukraine, advocating for collaborative efforts between academia and civil society to enhance intercultural awareness and competences, and emphasising the positive potential for a transformative evolution in the future.
Psychological and Pedagogical Aspects of Adaptation of Displaced Ukrainian Children to the Educational Environment of Another Country

The sudden and unexpected war in Ukraine led to a large flow of citizens displaced abroad. Almost half of them are preschool- and school-age children. The peculiarities of their adaptation to the educational environment of another country necessitates the study of the main aspects of adaptation in these conditions. The aim is to identify the psychological and pedagogical aspects of adaptation to the educational environment of another country of school-age refugee children. The research included the use of surveys, questionnaires (Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire, SDQ), analysis of official information sources. The research found that the studied 203 children relocated to other countries have high rates of adaptation to the educational environment. Their performance indicators improved, high satisfaction with school, teachers, and relationships with classmates was revealed. The SDQ found a low overall level of adjustment difficulties (M=16.3, SD=1.9). The study showed that, in general, displaced Ukrainian children have high rates of adaptation to the educational space of other countries. They are emotionally stable, sociable, moderately hyperactive, have no behavioural disorders, and have high prosocial behaviour. The obtained results can contribute to the development of a programme to support Ukrainian children of immigrants to the educational environment of other countries, which will contribute to their psychological and pedagogical adaptation to it. Стрімкий та неочікуваний початок війни в Україні призвів до великого потоку переміщених за кордон громадян. Серед них майже половина дітей дошкільного та шкільного віку. Особливості їх пристосованості до освітнього середовища іншої країни актуалізує потребу виокремлення головних аспектів адаптації в умовах . Мета полягає у виявленні психолого-педагогічних аспектів адаптації до освітнього середовища іншої країни дітей шкільного віку із числа біженців. Методи. Дослідження включало використання опитування, анкетування (SDQ), аналізу офіційних інформаційних джерел. Результати. Дослідження показало, що досліджувані переміщені в інші країни діти мають високі показники адаптації до освітнього простору. У них покращились показники успішності, виявлена висока задоволеність школою, вчителями та стосунками з однокласниками.
Specific needs for military English in Ukraine

Мета цієї роботи - показати потреби у військовій англійській мові в Україні та шляхи їх задоволення. Важливість вивчення англійської мови для військових в Україні надзвичайно зросла у зв'язку з агресією сусідньої країни. Це зростання значною мірою є результатом двох факторів: зміни ролі військових та змін у відносинах у сфері оборони. Останнім часом збройні сили більшості країн все частіше залучаються для надання гуманітарної допомоги та проведення миротворчих операцій, часто під егідою ООН або НАТО. Робочою мовою цих місій є англійська - офіційна мова, якою різні національні контингенти спілкуються між собою, а також зі штабом миротворчої місії. Збройні сили різних країн дедалі частіше працюють і тренуються разом. Коли солдати, моряки чи льотчики вирушають на навчання, їм потрібно спілкуватися спільною мовою, і англійська стала військовою лінгва франка. Україна обрала свій шлях до членства в Альянсі. Тому НАТОїзація є одним з головних пріоритетів, що робить це питання актуальним. The aim of this work is to show the needs for military English in Ukraine and to show the ways these needs can be met. The importance of English language training for the military in Ukraine has grown enormously in the connection with the aggression of the neighbouring country. This growth is largely the result of two factors: the changing role of the military and changes in defence relations. Military forces in most countries lately have increasingly been deployed on humanitarian assistance and peace operations, often under the auspices of either the United Nations or NATO. English has been the operational language of this mission: the official language that different national contingents use to talk to each other as well as to communicate with the peacekeeping headquarters. Increasingly, the armed forces of different countries have been working and training together. When soldiers, sailors or airmen go on exercise they need to communicate in a common language, and English has become a military lingua franca. Ukraine has chosen its path to become a member of the Alliance. Therefore, NATOization is one of the main priorities, which makes this issue relevant.

The future of distance learning in the conditions of martial law

Higher education institutions should create a set of conditions aimed at creating and developing a safe and comfortable educational environment and introducing the main components of non-violent communication in the context of further reform of higher education. The classroom system should be complemented by more effective teaching methods. Blended learning is the best choice for acquiring knowledge. In addition, each educational institution has the right to choose its own form of education. However, we believe that there is no alternative to the classroom system. Therefore, we are not ready to completely abandon this system, which correlates with a rather sceptical attitude towards exclusively distance learning methods. Заклади вищої освіти мають створити комплекс умов, спрямованих на формування та розвиток безпечного і комфортного освітнього середовища та впровадження основних компонентів ненасильницького спілкування в контексті подальшого реформування вищої освіти. Класно-урочна система має бути доповнена більш ефективними методами навчання. Змішаний тип навчання є найкращим вибором для отримання знань. Крім того, кожен навчальний заклад має право самостійно обирати форму навчання. Однак ми вважаємо, що альтернативи класно-урочній системі немає. Тому ми не готові повністю відмовитися від цієї системи, що корелюється з досить скептичним ставленням до виключно дистанційних методів навчання.
The use of innovative technologies in education: analyses of effectiveness and implementation at different levels of education

Стаття присвячена проблемі впровадження інноваційних освітніх технологій у навчальний процес на різних рівнях освіти. Метою статті є дослідження найбільш вживаних та ефективних інноваційних технологій навчання в закладах освіти України. Для досягнення мети дослідження використано комплекс методів: теоретичні: аналіз психолого-педагогічних та методичних джерел; емпіричні: анкетування, інтерв'ю; графічні. За результатами дослідження встановлено, що під час використання сучасних освітніх технологій студенти отримують можливість вирішити низку навчальних проблем. Виявлено, що найбільш ефективними інноваційними технологіями для викладання в українських закладах освіти є симуляційне програмне забезпечення, віртуальна та доповнена реальність, онлайн-лабораторії, гейміфікація, онлайн-платформи для спільної роботи, мобільні додатки, персоналізовані навчальні платформи, інструменти аналізу даних. Дослідження дозволило визначити найбільш ефективні мобільні додатки для навчання, які покликані надати студентам інтерактивні та захоплюючі способи вивчення концепцій на їхніх смартфонах і планшетах. The article deals with the issue of innovative educational technologies implementation into teaching at different levels of education. The paper aims to research the most used and effective innovative technologies for teaching in Ukrainian education establishments. To achieve the aim of the research, a set of methods was used: theoretical: analysis of psychological, pedagogical, and methodical sources; empirical: questionnaires, interviews; graphics. The research results have found that students get an opportunity to solve a number of academic problems in the course of modern educational technologies using. It has been revealed that the most effective innovative technologies for teaching in Ukrainian education institutions are simulation software, virtual reality and augmented reality, online laboratories, gamification, online collaborative platforms, mobile apps, personalized learning platforms, data analysis tools. The research made it possible to determine the most effective mobile applications for learning that are designed to provide students with interactive and engaging ways to learn concepts on their smartphones and tablets.
The ways of development of soft skills, mets skills, and hard skills in students of higher education

У статті проаналізовано зміст та показано важливість і необхідність soft skills, mets skills, hard skills у сьогоденні. Виділено види soft skills, що особливо важливі в сучасному суспільстві та представлено найпоширенішу класифікацію soft skills у суспільному просторі. Mets skills розглянуто як основа для розвитку, застосування, вдосконалення знань та умінь, як навички «вищого порядку», що дають можливість покращувати та розуміти значущість інших, вже існуючих компетенцій і дозволяють досягати поставленої мети. Встановлено важливість і необхідність професійних навичок hard skills – навичок роботи з технікою, обладнанням, пристроями. Доведено, що тільки поєднання soft skills, mets skills, hard skills повинні й можуть стати у плані підготовки фахівців у закладах вищої освіти наріжним каменем. Показано шляхи ефективного формування soft skills, mets skills, hard skills з використанням ІКТ. Зазначено, що необхідною компонентою у міжнародному академічному середовищі є володіння іноземними мовами. The article analyzes the content and shows the importance and necessity of soft skills, mets skills, and hard skills today. The types of soft skills that are particularly important in modern society are highlighted and the most common classification of soft skills in the public space is presented. Mets skills are considered as a basis for the development, application, and improvement of knowledge and skills, as "higher order" skills that provide an opportunity to improve and understand the significance of other, already existing competencies and allow to achieve the set goal. The importance and necessity of professional hard skills – skills of working with machinery, equipment, and devices have been established. It has been proven that only a combination of soft skills, mets skills, and hard skills should and can become a cornerstone in the plan of training specialists in institutions of higher education. Ways of effective formation of soft skills, mets skills, and hard skills with the use of ICT are shown. It is noted that a necessary component in the international academic environment is the command of foreign languages
АКТИВІЗАЦІЯ АКАДЕМІЧНОЇ МОБІЛЬНОСТІ СТУДЕНТІВ ЗАКЛАДІВ ВИЩОЇ ОСВІТИ ЯК ЗАСІБ ПІДВИЩЕННЯ ЇХНЬОЇ КОНКУРЕНТОСПРОМОЖНОСТІ: ВІТЧИЗНЯНИЙ І ГРЕЦЬКИЙ ДОСВІД

Висвітлено вітчизняний і грецький досвід забезпечення академічної мобільності студентів закладів вищої освіти (ЗВО). З’ясовано, що її розвитку в Україні сприяло кілька факторів: удосконалення законодавчої бази, підписання угоди про безвізовий режим України з Європейським Союзом (ЄС), вдосконалення та застосування процедури взаємного визнання документів про освіту, приєднання України до програми Erasmus+. Встановлено, що перешкоджають активізації процесів академічної мобільності такі негативні внутрішні процеси: економічні характеристики країни (різниця між рівнем життя в Україні та країнах ЄС), якість та вартість навчання і проживання, доступність побутових послуг, відповідність до європейських освітніх стандартів, недостатній рівень володіння іноземними мовами, недостатня обізнаність студентів щодо програм обміну тощо. Проаналізовано особливості реалізації права студентів грецьких вишів на академічну мобільність на прикладі юридичних факультетів Фракійського університету імені Демокрита та Афінського національного університету імені І. Каподістрії. Охарактеризовано процедуру участі студенів в програмах з практики (тривалість практики, категорії осіб, які можуть брати участь у відповідних програмах, перелік документів, які необхідно подати до участі у програмі, критерії відбору претендентів, розмір стипендії тощо), особливості організації магістерських програм грецьких вишів спільно із зарубіжними щодо надання єдиного диплома магістра. Враховуючи досвід грецьких вишів, виокремлено спектр питань, які потребують свого вирішення у вітчизняній системі вищої освіти. До них віднесено: покращення державного фінансування програм обміну; всебічне інформування студентів щодо таких програм; організація спільних магістерських освітніх програм вітчизняних і зарубіжних вишів; підвищення рівня іншомовної комунікативної компетентності студентів. The article is devoted to the coverage of home and Greek experience in providing the academic mobility of students of higher education institutions. It’s found out that several factors contributed to its development in Ukraine, such as: improving the legislative base, signing an agreement on a visa-free regime with Ukraine, improving and applying the mutual recognition procedure for education documents, and Ukraine's accession to the Erasmus + program. It has been stated that the following negative internal processes hinder the activation of academic mobility: the country economic characteristics (the difference between the standard of living in Ukraine and the countries of the European Union), the quality and cost of studying and living, the availability of household services, compliance with European educational standards, insufficient level of foreign language skills, lack of information students get concerning exchange programs, etc. The peculiarities of the realization of the right of students of Greek universities to academic mobility are analyzed basing on the example of law faculties of Democritus University of Thrace and the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. It has been established that students of Greek universities can take part in the following programs: for studying in foreign partner-universities; for participating in various types of practical programs in foreign partner-universities. The procedure of students’ participation in practical programs is described in detail, namely the length of practice, the categories of people who can participate in the relevant programs, the list of documents to be submitted for participation in the program, the criteria for selecting applicants, the size of the scholarship are found out. The emphasis is on the important innovation of relevant programs, which consists in the fact that Erasmus + provides students with free language Internet-support in the study of the appropriate foreign language before and during their stay abroad. The article analyzes the peculiarities of the organization of the master's degree programs of Greek universities together with foreign universities giving the identic diploma of a master's degree. In particular, the master’s program “Specialized Public Law”, organized by the legal department of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens together with the University of Montesquieu-Bordeaux IV (France), is described. Taking into account the experience of the Greek universities, the range of issues that need to be resolved in the national system of higher education is highlighted. These include: improving of state financing of exchange programs; comprehensive informing of students about such programs; organization of joint master’s degree programs of home and foreign universities; increasing the level of foreign language communicative competence of students.

The study guide contains five sections, each of which is equipped with a system of lexical and grammatical exercises. The publication was created for students, postgraduates and other persons studying English in the field of law.

The paper reveals that modern psychological research is increasingly focusing on the relationship between a person's name and their appearance, in particular, on stereotypes arising from associations between facial features and a name. This research confirms that a name can influence social perception, which proves the importance of naming, particularly in the complex interactions between individuals and society.
