В.This paper is a preliminary attempt to summarize and supplement key information about anthroponymic formula as a basic term of Ukrainian onomastics. Methods of research are predetermined by the aim and tasks put in the article. The main ones are comparative analyses, observation method, analysis of the scientific literature, method of classification, descriptive, comparative, and historical methods as well as methods of generalization and abstraction. They made it possible to clarify the content of the term anthroponymic formula, to describe differences between the existing definitions, and to examine the available equivalents in other languages. This study is the first step towards enhancing our understanding of anthroponymic formula’s definition that we defined initially as an order of anthroponyms in the official name of a person. М.; Удовіченко Г.; Дмитрук Л.A rapid increase of available information affects students’ perception of any message and formation of priorities; the period of concentration on one subject is reduced; students prefer concise vivid visual images. Internet memes become a part of students’ daily communication and broadcast today’s cultural and information realities. The aim of the study was to evaluate the effectiveness of Internet memes integration while mastering philological disciplines (for example, English) by Ukrainian students. The authors experimented to check the methodology proposed within one program unit. We conducted the experiment in the 2020-2021 academic year and involved 68 students and 5 teachers of Dnipro Academy of Continuing Education, Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs and Mykhailo Tuhan-Baranovskyi Donetsk National University of Economics and Trade. The authors conducted pre- and post-experimental surveys and informal interviews to compare academic achievements and provided a system of tasks integrating memes. Implementing the experiment, we clarified the dominant way of students’ perception and processing of information and revealed the expediency of integrating memes into teaching English. The authors determined the dynamics of the levels of students’ motivation to learn English through Internet memes integration and established quantitative values of the levels using the method of mathematical statistics. The conclusions emphasize the need to improve teachers’ pedagogical skills, developed critical and creative thinking to integrate memes into educational activities. The authors stress the relevance of the further detailed study of the educational potential of memes in teaching not only philological disciplines but also other subjects of the curriculum. Швидке збільшення доступної інформації впливає на сприйняття студентами будь-якого повідомлення та формування пріоритетів; скорочується період концентрації уваги на одному предметі; учні віддають перевагу лаконічним яскравим зоровим образам. Інтернет-меми стають частиною щоденного спілкування студентів і транслюють культурно-інформаційні реалії сьогодення. Метою дослідження було оцінити ефективність інтеграції інтернет-мемів під час опанування українськими студентами філологічних дисциплін (наприклад, англійської мови). Автори експериментували, щоб перевірити запропоновану методику в рамках одного програмного блоку. Експеримент ми проводили у 2020-2021 навчальному році та залучили 68 студентів та 5 викладачів Дніпровської академії неперервної освіти, Донецького державного університету внутрішніх справ та Донецького національного університету економіки і торгівлі імені Михайла Туган-Барановського. Автори провели опитування до та після експерименту та неформальні інтерв’ю для порівняння академічних досягнень і надали систему завдань, що інтегрують меми. Проводячи експеримент, ми з’ясували домінуючий спосіб сприйняття та обробки інформації студентами та виявили доцільність інтеграції мемів у навчання англійської мови. Автори визначили динаміку рівнів мотивації студентів до вивчення англійської мови шляхом інтеграції інтернет-мемів та встановили кількісні значення рівнів за допомогою методу математичної статистики. У висновках наголошується на необхідності підвищення педагогічної майстерності вчителів, розвитку критичного та творчого мислення для інтеграції мемів у навчальну діяльність. Автори наголошують на актуальності подальшого детального вивчення виховного потенціалу мемів у викладанні не лише філологічних дисциплін, а й інших предметів навчального плану.Документ Interpretation of the novel «Across the River and into the Trees» in terms of means of emotionality expression(EDP Sciences, 2023) Udovichenko H.; Ostapenko S.; Revutska S.; Zinchenko V. М.; Герасименко О.The article presents an attempt to clarify the essence of the concept of emotional lexical items and reveals the features of their translation into Ukrainian. The means of emotiveness is rendered specifically in different languages, thus complicating the work of translators. It is proved that E. Hemingway’s book “Across the River and into the Trees” is an interesting example of the style of the famous writer. Emotions are expressed there in dfferent ways. The syntactic constructions used in the text are a combination of descriptions of events or thinkings of the main characters, where simple, complex and compound sentences or their combinations are used, and dialogues characterized by the use of simple sentences, sometimes imperative ones. Descriptions are characterized by the use of completely neutral vocabulary, which, however, has a signi cant connotation. The translation of the book, performed by K. Sukhenko and N. Tarasenko is considered to be quite successful. The translators managed to preserve the style of the writer. Moreover, they preserved and rendered the emotionality of the work, using appropriate translation techniques, which was not easy given the significant differences in the means of expressing emotiveness. У статті зроблено спробу з’ясувати сутність поняття емоційні лексичні одиниці та виявлено особливості їх перекладу українською мовою. Засоби емотивності передаються різними мовами специфічно, що ускладнює роботу перекладачів. Доведено, що книга Е. Хемінгуея «Через річку та в дерева» є цікавим зразком стилю відомого письменника. Емоції там виражаються по-різному. Використані в тексті синтаксичні конструкції являють собою поєднання опису подій чи думок головних героїв, де вживаються прості, складносурядні та складнопідрядні речення або їх поєднання, і діалогів, для яких характерне вживання простих речень, іноді наказових. Для описів характерне використання абсолютно нейтральної лексики, яка, однак, має значний відтінок. Переклад книги, виконаний К. Сухенком і Н. Тарасенко, вважається досить вдалим. Перекладачам вдалося зберегти стиль письменника. Крім того, вони зберегли й передали емоційність твору, використовуючи відповідні прийоми перекладу, що було непросто з огляду на значні відмінності засобів вираження емоційності.Документ Linguistic features of communication in Ukrainian(Universidad de Carabobo, 2023) Zinchenko V. М.The establishment of the language in the country should occur under conditions providing relevant linguistic support for this process, as well as proper legal support, for which unique instructional techniques for communication should be used. In Ukraine, in-depth contrastive studies of contact languages are used to successfully implement this process. Contrastive vocabulary dictionaries are created. Interpretive and translation dictionaries are being improved, including both general language and specialized ones. Along with this, special dictionaries are also being expanded due to units illustrating the grammatical properties of the Ukrainian language. The purpose of the academic paper is to systematize information regarding studying issues in the scientific literature related to the linguistic features of the communication process in the Ukrainian language, as well as to clarify their most significant practical aspects. Analytical-bibliographical, systemic-structural, comparative, logical- linguistic methods, analysis, synthesis, induction, and deduction were used in the course of the research to study scientific literature on issues related to the Ukrainian language’s linguistic features. At the same time, a questionnaire was used to practically clarify certain aspects of communication in Ukrainian from the perspective of its linguistic characteristics. Based on the research results, the theoretical fundamentals, concepts and main trends in the linguistic field were studied, as well as the survey results on the linguistic aspects of the communication process in the Ukrainian language were discussed. Становлення мови в країні має відбуватися за умови відповідного лінгвістичного забезпечення цього процесу, а також належного правового забезпечення, для чого мають використовуватися унікальні методики навчання комунікації. В Україні для успішної реалізації цього процесу використовуються поглиблені порівняльні дослідження контактних мов. Створено словники порівняльної лексики. Удосконалюються тлумачні та перекладні словники, як загальномовні, так і спеціальні. Поряд з цим поповнюються спеціальні словники за рахунок одиниць, що ілюструють граматичні властивості української мови. Метою наукової роботи є систематизація відомостей щодо вивчення питань наукової літератури, пов’язаних із лінгвістичними особливостями процесу спілкування українською мовою, а також з’ясування їх найважливіших практичних аспектів. У ході дослідження використано аналітико-бібліографічний, системно-структурний, зіставний, логіко-лінгвістичний методи, аналіз, синтез, індукцію та дедукцію для вивчення наукової літератури з питань мовних особливостей української мови. Given that the Internet environment in the 21st century is characterized by hypertextual discourse, this raises the matter of differentiation between objective and axiological scientific knowledge contributing to a deeper understanding of the universe. The principles of further research in different scientific fields (humanitarian, natural, social, technical, physical and mathematical sciences) in the context of their social and socialization role in the information society are perceived as the coevolutionary basis of the informational civilization. Also noteworthy is the functional structural analysis of terms’ extraction from the symbolization of the language system, the prospective analysis of legal terms’ functioning, the study of their formal and semantic structure, the classification of legal sublanguage terms and the adjustment, unification and standardization of the term-based system. У статті розглядається питання еволюції правового дискурсу в контексті інформатизації сучасної цивілізації в добу постмодерну та міжкультурного діалогу, що визначає розуміння фундаментальних юридичних понять щодо свідомості особи як суб’єкта правових та економічних операцій, як а також реалізатор соціально-економічних і культурних прав. Враховуючи те, що Інтернет-середовище ХХІ століття характеризується гіпертекстуальним дискурсом, виникає питання про розмежування об’єктивного та аксіологічного наукового знання, що сприяє глибшому розумінню Всесвіту. The study of individual elements of idiostyle makes it possible to form a holistic view of the writer's creative manner not only at the literary, but also at the linguistic level. The works of S. Zhadan are very diverse, which confirms the multi-vector nature of his creative personality. The functions of adjectives in S. Zhadan's novel "Voroshilovgrad" are analyzed. It has been proven that adjectives enable the characterization of heroes, the description of nature pictures, and metaphorical descriptions.Документ Аквафоносеми в україномовних та англомовних поетичних творах: особливості функціонування(Дрогобицький державний педагогічний університет імені Івана Франка, 2022) Козій О. Б.; Kozii O. В.Вода – універсальний символ чи не у всіх світових традиціях. Водночас її наділено найрізноманітнішими функціями. Окремі особливості води зумовили її персоніфікацію, зробили символом вічного руху, очищення, а разом з тим і руйнації. Тож невипадково воду розглядають як основу основ, повноту можливостей, синтез і детермінізм усіх елементів. Ця стаття є спробою порівняльного аналізу особливостей функціонування звукових образів, пов’язаних в українській та англійській мовах із водою. Для зіставлення цих аквафоносем обрано низку поетичних творів українських шістдесятників та яскраві приклади пейзажної лірики австралійських письменників. Вибір останніх зумовлений тим, що цей шар англомовної літератури ще недостатньо вивчений. Способи створення образів у літературі перебувають у сферах дослідження двох наук – літературознавства та мовознавства. Звук в описах картин природи – це художній елемент, що допомагає розкрити їхній психологічний підтекст та емоційне наповнення. Компактність віршованого тексту обумовлює вибір слів із багатоплановою семантикою: чим більшою кількістю смислів наповнене слово, тим змістовно багатшим і образно яскравішим є текст, тим сильнішим є його емотивний резонанс. Створення звукових образів, або звукосимволізм, передбачає генерування художніх смислів звуковою оболонкою слова. На фонетичному рівні мови художнього твору маємо справу з художнім звукописом. Під звукописом розуміємо систему звукового інструментування, спрямовану на створення звукового образу. Основними елементами художнього звукопису є: гармонія й дисгармонія, евфонія й какофонія, алітерація та асонанс, звукові повтори і звуконаслідування. Часто саме завдяки семантично навантаженим звукосполученням та їхній здатності до взаємодії читач може пройнятися віршем, побачити й відчути його. Water is a universal symbol of almost all world traditions. At the same time, it is endowed with a wide variety of functions. Its individual features determined its personification, made it a symbol of eternal movement, purification and at the same time destruction. It is considered as the basis of the foundations, the fullness of all possibilities, the synthesis and determinism of elements. This article is an attempt at a comparative analysis of the functioning of sound images related to water in the Ukrainian and English languages. A number of poetic works of the Ukrainian sixties and vivid examples of landscape lyrics by Australian writers were chosen to compare these aquaphonos. The choice of the latter is due to the fact that this layer of English-language literature remains insufficiently studied. Ways of creating images in literature are in the spheres of research of two sciences — literary studies and linguistics. The sound content of nature paintings is analyzed from the perspective of sound in landscape descriptions as an artistic element, which allows us to reveal the psychological subtext and emotional content of nature descriptions. The compactness of the poetic text dictates the selection of words with multifaceted semantics, the more meanings a word has, the richer the text is in terms of content and imagery, and the stronger the emotional resonance. The creation of sound images or sound symbolism involves the generation of artistic meanings by the sound envelope of words. At the phonetic level of the language of an artistic work, we are dealing with artistic sound recording. Sound recording is a system of sound instrumentation aimed at creating a sound image. The main elements of artistic sound recording are: harmony and disharmony, euphony and cacophony, alliteration and assonance, sound repetitions and sound imitation. In many ways, it is thanks to the semantically loaded sound combinations and their ability to interact that the poet can more clearly give the reader the opportunity to listen and hear his poem, as well as see and feel it.Документ Англійсько-український словник мілітарної лексики (за стандартом НАТО)(Донецький державний університет внутрішніх справ, 2024) Снісаренко І. V.У статті узагальнені та доповнені ключові відомості про сучасну українську офіційну антропонімну формулу в аспекті варіювання кількості та послідовності її компонентів, а також їх графічного оформлення. Для реалізації поставленої мети було виконано низку завдань: 1) виявлено та описано випадки зміни кількісного складу української офіційної антропонімної формули в тих документальних джерелах, де важливою є ідентифікація особи; 2) схарактеризовано виявлені варіації української офіційної антропонімної формули у сфері документування управлінської інформації; 3) простежено зміни послідовності лексем у межах антропонімної формули; 4) зроблено висновки про повну та відносну самостійність компонентів української антропонімної формули; 5) окреслено варіанти графічного оформлення антропонімної формули в документах. Об’єкт дослідження – сучасна українська офіційна антропонімна формула; предмет дослідження – варіювання кількості та послідовності лексем, їх графічного оформлення у межах української антропонімної формули. У науковій праці послуговуємося насамперед описовим та порівняльним методами. У результаті дослідження було виявлено, що вищий ступінь офіційності документа (наприклад, державні реєстри та списки), то ширше застосування трилексемної антропонімної формули. Однак навіть найбільш консервативна сфера, де метою є якнайточніша ідентифікація особи, поступово зазнає впливу глобалізаційних процесів, внаслідок яких сучасна антропонімна формула усе частіше репрезентується двома лексемами без імені по батькові (як-от паспорт громадянина України для виїзду за кордон). У сфері документування управлінської інформації має місце елімінація імені по батькові в низці реквізитів організаційно-розпорядчих документів, спостерігається трансформації антропонімної формули у звертаннях, що контрастує з практикою усного спілкування. Попри вільний порядок розташування компонентів у межах антропонімної формули фіксуємо обмеження щодо інверсійного використання імені та по батькові. Усі компоненти української антропонімної формули можуть вживатися з повною та відносною самостійністю залежно від дискурсу. У роботі окреслено теорію Строумена, зауважено про варіювання регістру літер залежно від типу документа. The article summarized and supplemented key information about the current Ukrainian official anthroponymic formula in terms of variation in the number and sequence of its components, as well as their graphic design. A number of tasks were performed to realize this purpose. We have found and described some changes in the quantitative composition of the Ukrainian official anthroponymic formula in those documents where identification of the person is important, characterized some versions of the Ukrainian official anthroponymic formula in documentation of management activities, traced changes in the sequence of anthroponymic formula components, have reached the conclusion about the complete and relative independence of components in the Ukrainian anthroponymic formula. The final area of investigation was graphic design of the anthroponymic formula in the documents. The object of the research is a modern Ukrainian official anthroponymic formula; the subject of the research is variation in the number and sequence of components in the Ukrainian anthroponymic formula, their graphic design. In this article we use the descriptive and comparative methods in the first place. As a result of the study it was found that the highest level of official document (for example, state registers and lists), then the wider application of anthroponymic formula with three components. However, even the most conservative sphere, where the aim is to identify the person as accurately as possible, is gradually exposed to the influence of globalization processes. As a result of this, the modern anthroponymic formula is increasingly represented by two lexemes without the name of the father (as a passport of the citizen of Ukraine for travel abroad). We must admit elimination of patronymic in some requisites of organizational and executive documents. There are transformations of the anthroponymic formula in the manner of addressing one another in the written form, which is in contrast with the practice of verbal communication. Despite the free order of the components in the anthroponymic formula, we fix restrictions for the name and the patronymic’s version. All components of the Ukrainian anthroponymic formula can be used with full and relative independence depending on the discourse. In the paper special attention is given to anthroponyms – names and surnames – as markers of national identity. Examples of deliberate modifications of Ukrainian anthroponyms in the past are provided. The text also analyzes the modern trend of choosing names associated with other cultures and its impact on Ukrainian self-identification. Об’єктом дослідження є антропоніми як базові складники онімної системи; предметом дослідження – вплив антропонімів на різні аспекти життя носія на основі випадків, описаних у наукових працях психіатрів, психологів кінця ХІХ ст. – початку ХХ ст. З-поміж методів здебільшого послуговуємося методом аналізу наукової літератури, а також описовим та порівняльним. У результаті аналізу описаної в наукових розвідках консультативної практики психіатрів кінця ХІХ ст. було виявлено антропоніми в новому світлі – як предмет ірраціональної пристрасті (ономатоманія) або страху (ономатофобія). Небажані думки про імена, на переконання тодішніх лікарів, мали істотний негативний вплив на повсякденне життя їхніх пацієнтів, утім їхні сучасні колеги висловлюють сумніви щодо такого потенціалу антропонімів. У наступні роки дедалі частіше описуються дивні зв’язки між антропонімами та носіями, що в той чи той спосіб впливали на їхню поведінку: носії наслідували якості чи характер, «закладений» в імені або, навпаки, намагалися цілковито викреслити антропонім з пам’яті. У колі наукових проблем постають питання навмисної трансформації антропонімів задля розв’язання професійних чи побутових проблем, глибинні мотиви номінаторів, що впливають на їхній вибір імені для немовляти, а також механізм забування власних назв. У новому ракурсі постають імена, здатні викликати потужні асоціації, у такий спосіб впливаючи на різні аспекти життя носія, а також слугувати засобом маніпуляцій під час комунікації, демонструючи повагу чи зневагу до їхнього носія. Заслуговують також на увагу спроби психологів дати відповідь на питання щодо можливої кореляції імені та особистісних характеристик носія. У дослідженнях 20 х років на основі зібраних попередниками випадків несвідомого впливу імені на поведінку носія були запропоновані три категорії, де такий вплив є найбільш помітним: загальний вплив на характер і поведінку, професійну сферу, а також особисті стосунки. The aim of this scientific research is to analyze the contributions of psychiatrists and psychologists from the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries who focused on cases of obsessive attraction or uncontrollable fear related to personal names. The study examines the emotional reactions caused by personal names and surnames, as well as the influence of names on the behavior of individuals. The research focuses on anthroponyms as fundamental components of the naming system, exploring their impact on various aspects of individuals’ lives based on the cases described in the scientific works of psychiatrists and psychologists from that time period. Through an analysis of the counseling practices of late nineteenth-century psychiatrists, anthroponyms were reevaluated as subjects of irrational passion (onomatomania) or fear (onomatophobia). Undesirable thoughts related to names were believed to significantly affect the daily lives of patients during that era, although contemporary colleagues express doubts regarding this potential influence of anthroponyms. Subsequent studies documented intriguing connections between personal names and the behavior of their bearers: some individuals emulated the qualities associated with their names, while others sought to erase their anthroponyms from memory entirely. The research explores topics such as intentional transformations of anthroponyms to solve professional or personal problems, motives of namers influencing their choices for baby names, and the mechanisms behind forgetting personal names. This new perspective highlights how certain names can evoke powerful associations that influence various aspects of an individual’s life and can be used as tools of manipulation in communication, conveying respect or disrespect for the bearer. Additionally, psychologists have attempted to address the question of a possible correlation between a person’s name and their personal characteristics. The article summarizes the views of researchers on the peculiarities of M. Kotsyubynsky’s creative manner, on his experience of reforming in the direction of modern European prose. Hypotactic constructions with a non-adverbial connection are singled out in the work, they are divided according to semantics, and the structural features of predicative parts within complex sentences of the determiner type are examined. The functional load of polypredicative units with dependent parts with circumstantial meaning has been studied. The language of the artist's artistic texts is one of the brightest examples of a broad approach to the development of the literary language. European focus on sophistication, psychologism, formal brevity, along with internal completeness, determines the uniqueness of the writer’s style, which is manifested in a number of features. In the field of syntax, M. Kotsyubinsky presents unsurpassed examples of how a real artist with verbal and stylistic images should reproduce large pictures of life. V.У пропонованій науковій розвідці схарактеризовано випадки позитивного емоційного ставлення носіїв до імен та прізвищ, що були зафіксовані в розвідках XVIII–ХХ ст., а також простежено зміни поглядів на емоційний зв’язок імені та носія. Виявлено, що антропонімна формула позиціонувалася як невіддільний атрибут людини, до якого згадані в роботах носії демонстрували позитивне емоційне ставлення, часом наголошуючи на необхідності всіляко убезпечувати свої імена та прізвища від навмисних або випадкових спотворень. Такі зовнішні втручання сприймалися надзвичайно гостро, адже тлумачилися як наруга не лише над іменем, а й над власником. У багатьох випадків їх пов’язували з втратою власної ідентичності та небажанням бути кимось іншим. Для деяких носіїв дотримання узвичаєної форми було ознакою зв’язку поколінь, способом ушанування пам’яті про досягнення та позитивні діяння своїх предків, від яких вони успадкували славетні прізвища. Для інших в імені та прізвищі був захований великий потенціал, який вони використовували для покращення антропонімної формули, вдаючись до різноманітних трансформацій. Описані спроби досягнення гармонії між промовистими іменами та їхніми носіями шляхом перетворення перших на більш відповідні до зовнішності чи внутрішніх рис носія. Згадано про значні можливості антропонімів слугувати засобом маніпуляцій у комунікації. Упродовж тривалого часу уявлення про зв’язок носія та імені зазнавали змін: популярне в попередні століття твердження про здатність антропоніма безпосередньо визначати характер чи в інший спосіб впливати носія у ХХ ст. було сприйняте як сумнівне. Ідеться про упереджене ставлення до деяких імен, а також ідеї, що певні риси характеру людини можуть бути розвинені або вдосконалені на виконання закладеної в антропонімній формулі «програми». При цьому в тогочасних роботах підкреслювалися можливості власних імен людей слугувати додатковим мотиваційним чи стримувальним чинником. У багатьох роботах попереднього століття описано особові імена та прізвища як невіддільні елементи ідентичності. The proposed scientific study characterises the cases of positive emotional attitude of the bearers to names and surnames recorded in the studies from the eighteenth to the twentieth centuries, and traces the changes in views on the emotional connection between the name and the bearer. It has been found that the anthroponymic formula was positioned as an inherent attribute of a person, to which the bearers mentioned in the works demonstrated a positive emotional attitude, sometimes emphasising the need to protect their names and surnames from intentional or accidental distortions in every possible way. Such external interventions were perceived as extremely sensitive, as they were interpreted as an insult not only to the name but also to the bearer. In many cases, they were associated with the loss of one's own identity and the unwillingness to be someone else. For some bearers, adherence to the traditional form was a sign of intergenerational ties, a way of honouring the memory of the achievements and positive deeds of their ancestors from whom they inherited their famous surnames. For others, the personal name and surname had a great potential, which they used to improve the anthroponymic formula by resorting to various transformations. The article describes attempts to achieve harmony between names and their bearers by transforming their form into more appropriate to the appearance or internal features of the bearer. The author mentions the significant potential of anthroponyms to serve as a means of manipulation in communication. Building on this historical perspective, the idea of the connection between the bearer and the name has been undergoing changes: the statement about the ability of an anthroponym to directly determine the character or otherwise influence the bearer, popular in previous centuries, was perceived as questionable in the twentieth century. This refers to the prejudice against certain names, as well as the idea that certain traits of a person's character can be developed or improved to fulfil the "programme" laid down in the anthroponymic formula. At the same time, the works of that time emphasised the potential of people's own names to serve as an additional motivational or deterrent factor.
