V.У науковій роботі розкрито сутність студентоцентрованого навчання, яка полягає у значному підвищенні відповідальності здобувача вищої освіти за планування навчання, взаємодію з викладачами, дослідження та оцінку як особистісних, так і навчальних результатів. Більше того, на відміну від класичної парадигми організації освітнього процесу з традиційними дидактичними методами навчання, коли переважає контроль з боку викладача та акцент робиться лише на засвоєння академічного контенту, у студентоцентрованому підході ключову роль відіграють відповідальність і активність здобувачів вищої освіти, їх певна незалежність у формуванні структури та обсягу навчальної інформації, виборі форм набуття знань та видів академічного контролю. Виокремлено основні принципи цього підходу та шляхи побудови студентоцентрованої моделі навчання. The scientific work reveals the essence of student-centered learning, which lies in a significant increase in the responsibility of higher education students for planning their learning, interacting with teachers, conducting research, and assessing both personal and academic outcomes. Moreover, unlike the classical paradigm of organizing the educational process with traditional didactic teaching methods, where teacher control prevails and the focus is solely on mastering academic content, the student-centered approach emphasizes the responsibility and activity of higher education students, their relative independence in shaping the structure and volume of educational information, choosing methods of acquiring knowledge, and determining types of academic assessment. ESP is only a means of obtaining and disseminating the necessary information. ESP teachers should consider using STEAM elements to help their students learn the subject material and diversify the educational process. In the context of University Steam Education, it is advisable to change not only the content, forms and methods of teaching a foreign language, but also to replace the name of the discipline English for Special Purposes with Steam English, a term that has recently appeared in the global virtual space of Steam Education. У цьому дослідженні стверджується, що студенти, які вивчають англійську мову професійного спрямування, не можуть конструювати роботів або відтворювати складні технологічні процеси на заняттях з англійської мови професійного спрямування; такими проектами повинні керувати фахівці з фізико-математичного циклу дисциплін. У період карантинних обмежень через COVID-19 саме синхронна форма дистанційного навчання виявилася найбільш затребуваною в українських університетах. В Україні існує законодавча база для дистанційного навчання у закладах вищої освіти. Аналіз зарубіжних і вітчизняних наукових праць з проблеми дистанційного навчання показав, що теоретичні засади дистанційного навчання іноземної мови в синхронному режимі ще недостатньо розроблені. Distance learning of a foreign language occurs in two modes: synchronous and asynchronous. During the period of COVID-19 quarantine restrictions, it was the synchronous distance learning mode that turned out to be most in demand in Ukrainian universities. In Ukraine, there is a legislative framework for distance learning in higher education institutions. The analysis of foreign and domestic scientific works on the problem of distance learning has shown that the theoretical foundations of distance learning of a foreign language in a synchronous mode have not yet been sufficiently developed. Курсанти доповідають та спілкуються на професійно орієнтованих конференціях іноземною мовою, демонструють навички іншомовного мовлення в науковому стилі. Здобувачі вищої освіти також регулярно беруть участь у наукових конференціях, що проводяться у закладах вищої освіти МВС України. Participating in scientific conferences in foreign languages is one of the forms of realizing the formation of foreign language communicative competence of the applicants. During the preparation of a scientific paper, they define the topic, study foreign sources, conduct a comparative analysis and express their opinion. For many years, the Department of Foreign Languages of Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs has been holding all-Ukrainian scientific and practical conferences in foreign languages on the topic "Law enforcement agencies protecting law and order and constitutional freedoms of citizens." Cadets report and communicate at professionally oriented conferences in a foreign language, demonstrate foreign language speaking skills in a scientific style. Сadets of higher education also regularly participate in scientific conferences held at the Institutions of Higher Education of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
